09-03-2005 · Speaking of VW axles, I believe I saw (at a VW event the other day) a VW bug that had portal bus boxes, but instead of regearing, he mounted 2 on each side giving him the correct forward movement! They were connected somehow, and gave him double the height of a normal portal. After owning a Pinzgauer, portal axles are the only way!
